Kermode reports sample XRF's from samples taken by 911 Exploration Corp. Ten samples were submitted to an independent contractor who preformed an analysis for copper values.
The Caycuse River showings were discovered in 1923 while prospectors sluicing for gold found copper sulphides. They chased the riverbank untill they located what is now called the CR/Hank minfile.
The showings are skarn hosting sulphides disseminated to massive pods of predominatley chalcopyrite with secondary magnetite and pyrite. There are four skarn zones with a combined 275m of showings associated with the minfile. Below is a map by Ajax Resources Ltd, from assessment report 12,618.
In 1954 plans to build a road and mine the copper showing were halted when the company failed to raise the capital. Other than basic mapping and geochemical work the showings have never had drilling or any other serious modern exploration.
Samples analyzed in early 2024 indicate high copper values that warrant futhur exploration. Including newly exposed areas in the river floor which span at least 7m of massive chalcopyrite and 25m of width to some of the skarn showings. Below is a chart with our 2024 samples, descriptions and values.
Sample results include bedrock chip samples with 8m of 8.81% cu, 4m of 24.92% cu, 10m of 3.08% cu, 3m of 4.05% cu. Additionally large boulders of skarn can be found down river showings from the showings. A 3.0m chip from a boulder had 30.29% cu and a grab sample of 33.16% cu.
Futhur work in 2024 is warranted in prospecting, shallow drilling and geophysical to furthur expand on these showings.
